What a memorable trip to Richmond. It was great loading up the 'Smarties' van with a bunch of eager guys with Matt at the wheel! Everyone had great fun listening to the hockey game, except when Lundqvist scored (Well at least Keanu was cheering until he realized his mistake)! It was also a bonding moment when everyone belted out the national anthem along with the guy on the radio. Driving back and forth between 2 different fields trying to figure out which one we were supposed to play on was just a way to do some sight-seeing of the 'Winter Olympics 2010 Venue City'.
Getting our first win (2-1) under our belt was exciting too. Even though the start of the match wasn't quite what we wanted, especially since the other team started 2 men down, once we settled down and started pushing up we created many chances, including a shot off the crossbar by Tony. Cory finally got us on the board with a great effort after receiving the ball from our goalie Kirk, and Ron finished it off with a beautiful shot over the goalie's head and into the back of the net. Kirk had some great saves and everyone started using each other and controlling much better once we settled down.
Congratulations to Ron Bartel (aka-Ron the Tank) the 'Man of the Match'-great game!

Don't forget Ron winning "Man of the Match" with the condition we can refer to him from now on as - Ron the Tank -
Thanks for the reminder Jonathan, I actually came back to add it to the post and saw your comment.

Hi Pete, when you first log into the blog there should be an option to 'Sign In' at the top right corner. Once you sign in, your dashboard will come up and so will all the titles of the blogs you belong to. Under 'mrcc fc-church in the city' blog click on 'New Post' (it should have a green plus-sign next to it). Then you can blog away, making you own posts. If you click on the icon of a photograph (between the spell check and erase icons) you can upload pics. Here's a link to help answer any other blogging questions you might have.
