Close against Cariboo

Monday night's game was a much better effort for the entire match. The league referee was calling the match and he was certainly the best official we've had to date. The game went back and forth and managed to remain scoreless for the first half. In the second half, Cariboo opened the scoring on a goal that just managed to cross the goal line. Our team never gave up and managed to tie the game on a great effort from Dan C. It wasn't until late in the game that Cariboo got the winner on a drop ball about 3 yards from the goal line (after the ball got tangled in my legs resulting in a dead ball). Chris B managed to clear the ball on the initial drop, but Cariboo regained possession and blasted it into the net. We continued to battle hard and push up but unfortunately the equalizer never came. Both games against Cariboo (a win and a loss) were fun games to play with good sportsmanship all around. I was very honoured to be named the Man-Of-The-Match (and thanks Duane for the great words of encouragement!).
