FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Canada coach Stephen Hart was startled to see Guatemala play defensively at the start of the game. The strategy didn't work.

Ali Gerba scored two goals in the first half as Canada reached the Gold Cup semifinals for the second time in the last four tournaments with a 3-0 win on Saturday.
