Well, we had our first rainy game. I thought it was actually nicer than playing in the heat. Unfortunately, when the other team arrived we noticed that they had the same colour jerseys as us. Thanks to Tony (who had to go home and dig up some white jerseys) we were able to solve the problem. And although half the sweaters said 'Rams' on them, the other sweaters said ' The Witch' (referring to the sponsor, The Witch of Endor Pub). We had to make a disclaimer just before opening prayer between both teams. Oh well, at least The Witch of Endor has some sort of biblical reference (not a very good one mind you).
We came out on the short end of a 2-0 score, but as a team we played pretty well and had many scoring chances. Cory had a very acrobatic bicycle-kick attempt which the goalie had to save. There were lots of opportunities and good things to build on. The 'Man of the Match' title went to Bert. Congrats, B-Train!
If anyone would like to make a post on the blog, please feel free to do so anytime. This blog is meant as a communication tool between all team members. Add your pictures, comments or links to other soccer-related websites. See you all on Friday. Matt are you driving the Smarties van again?

Hi Glenstorm,
Matt will be out of town for three weeks. So if anyone else has a class 4 drivers licence? We need you to drive.

I think (what I heard) that we're all meeting at the church again and if we can't go with the 15ner we'll just carpool anyway. Should be fun - these road games!
Please pray for me as my left ankle has been swollen since the game. I wear a brace on my right ankle (from an old injury) but I must be putting all my weight on my left ankle to compensate... now it's injured too :( I guess I have to realize I'm not 20-something anymore!
